Bills fans were understandably upset after a narrow defeat to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. But few, if any, took the loss harder than Buffalo’s offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey.
The first-year OC was caught on camera having an absolute meltdown in the coaching booth after time expired, throwing his headset, tablet, play sheets and basically anything else within reach.
Dorsey’s reaction quickly went viral online, with some voicing concerns over the tantrum while others praised his passion and intensity.
I want my coaches to care and have some fire. I would play for Ken Dorsey any day!!

On Monday, Dorsey responded to the outburst when he spoke to reporters for the first time since the loss.
“It was an intense game, a passionate game,” he said. “We weren’t on the winning end of it, so that’s frustrating.”
“It’s something Iโm going to learn from and make sure itโs corrected moving forward… Whenever things like that happen, itโs a good teaching moment for everyone.”
He later alluded to the video while answering a question about his clock management. The Bills failed to get a play off in the final seconds, with time expiring before Josh Allen could spike the ball on 3rd down.
“We’re all human. I’m human, as we saw,” he said with a chuckle. “I’ll make mistakes, just like those guys. The key is how we learn from those mistakes.”

Bills head coach Sean McDermott also spoke out on Dorsey’s reaction.
“‘I’m fully aware of that video and Ken and I talked about it,” McDermott said. “We’ve got to keep our poise and he’s well aware of that.”
But McDermott went on to praise his OC for his commitment to the team.
“I love the fact that he cares that much about doing his job and putting his players in a position to be successful,” he said. “I think that says a lot about him as a coach.”
Dorsey, who previously worked as a quarterbacks coach for the Carolina Panthers, is in his first season as an NFL offensive coordinator. He replaced Brian Daboll in Buffalo this offseason after Daboll took over as head coach of the Giants.
Dorsey and his team will have to get over the loss quickly โ they face a trip to Baltimore on Sunday to take on Lamar Jackson and the Ravens.
