What channel is Vikings vs. Commanders on today? Time, TV schedule for NFL Week

The NFL season is just now approaching the midway point, but the Vikings already have a stranglehold on the NFC North. At 6-1, Minnesota hasn’t always looked the part, but Kevin O’Connell’s team has taken care of business against lesser competition and finds itself with a 3.5-game lead atop the division.

The Vikings went all-in ahead of Tuesday’s trade deadline, striking a deal with the Lions for tight end T.J. Hockenson as they look to capitalize on their strong start. Hockenson is expected to debut Sunday.

If the last three weeks are any indication, the Vikings might not be able to cruise in Sunday’s matchup. The Commanders have won three consecutive games thanks to some last-minute heroics, winning both of Taylor Heinicke’s first two starts despite a sluggish offense at times.

While the win streak hasn’t come easy, only a tiebreaker separates Washington from a playoff spot heading into Week 9.

Each game is critically important for Heinicke, who is trying to earn the Commanders’ full-time starting job from Carson Wentz once Wentz is healthy enough to play. A win over one of the NFC’s best teams would go a long way toward achieving that goal.
